The
Bertram 31 has had a profound impact on the design of fiberglass power
boats. First introduced at the 1961 New York boat show, this was the
first vessel to have a deep-V hull design and quickly developed a
reputation for dependability in getting you out and back again.
Designed by Ray Hunt and produced by Bertram yachts, this vessel was in
production for 25 years and made the name for Bertram boats. This boat
became the benchmark in terms of sea keeping ability and rugged
fiberglass construction for all other vessels.
Now
it is a much-sought-after collectable classic boat, with many dedicated
and enthusiastic owners around the country and is being used in a wide
variety of jobs. Of the 2000 Bertram 31's built, it is estimated
that 90% or 1,800 of them are still on the water today.
The Bertram
was designed specifically for "off shore fishing",
and was later offered in a variety of configurations to perform a number of
different functions. The Miller Time is the "Bahia Mar" model, and
make no mistake this is the model that was BORN FOR FISHING ! ! !
She is equipped with the latest in Hi-tech electronics, safety gear, a
full Marlin tower, and custom fishing gear and
systems that you won't find on ANY other boat.
Recently
re-powered with Volvo Turbo Diesel Power, to make the Miller Time
possibly one of the FASTEST charters in the fleet at a cruise
speed in excess of 23 kts.
